Mission Statement:

The challenges of globalization prompt a shift in the scale of analysis and action from the city to the larger region. Growing disparities between urban and rural, central and peripheral realities have discredited fragmentary policies; even more so in areas burdened by post-industrial withdrawal of investment and population. In critique of institutionalized cultural programming and touristification of cities, I am interested in the everyday culture of rural regions and local potentials for global changes towards more resilient mindsets and balanced work and life choices.
